    Hyderabad: Udyan Utsav Showcases Startups and Sustainability

    On the second day of Udyan Utsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam, various startups presented innovative ideas and solutions, drawing significant attention from visitors. The event, held on Friday, attracted nearly 7,000 people who enjoyed the serene garden displays along with interactive activities.

    In addition to the beautiful gardens, the day featured workshops and expert talks organized by officials and farmers from the Telangana Horticulture Department. Topics discussed included the National Horticulture Mission and Urban Farming, providing visitors with valuable insights and knowledge about sustainable practices.

    The startups at Udyan Utsav introduced a range of innovations focused on energy efficiency, waste management, water conservation, and the use of technology for nature conservation. These ideas highlighted the potential for sustainable development through creative solutions.

    One of the featured startups, Newkind, showcased reusable period panties that are environmentally friendly and can be reused up to 100 times. Another startup, Renote, presented a smart AI-powered notebook. This innovative notebook allows users to reuse a single page up to 100 times, with a dedicated pen and a wet cloth to erase content after saving it digitally in the Renote AI mobile app. The app uses Open AI technology to analyze saved notes and seamlessly integrate them with tools like Google Meetings or Microsoft To-Do lists.

    The event also included a vibrant community engagement zone, emphasizing sustainability practices. Activities in this zone ranged from writing green wall pledges to hands-on workshops on rooftop gardening, hydroponics, and microgreens. Students, along with NCC and NSS cadets, participated enthusiastically in sessions such as pot making, pottery wheel workshops, and reusing old bottles, cans, and tires. A senior officer described these efforts as a powerful way to instill eco-consciousness among participants.

    Udyan Utsav continues to inspire visitors by combining innovation, sustainability, and community involvement, making it a meaningful and enriching experience for all.
