State Government Distributes Gas Cylinder Certificates under Mahalakshmi Scheme
The state government has begun distributing gas cylinder certificates under the Mahalakshmi Scheme as part of the Abhaya Hastham program. This initiative is aimed at providing gas cylinders to eligible beneficiaries at a subsidized price of Rs. 500.
In Aija town, ration dealers handed out the certificates to eligible families at 18 different ration shops on Wednesday. These certificates will allow families to access the subsidized gas cylinders.
The distribution of gas cylinders will be based on each family’s average gas usage over the past three years. There will be a yearly limit on the number of cylinders each family can receive. The subsidy for these cylinders will be credited directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts based on their usage.
In total, 5,400 eligible beneficiaries were selected in Aija town. It is important to note that certification documents must be collected from the specific ration shop where the family is registered. They will not be available at other ration shops.
