The Union Government has released Rs 416.80 crore to Telangana for flood relief. This money will help the state provide aid to people affected by the recent floods. It will also be used to fix damaged roads, canals, and other infrastructure caused by the heavy rains in the state.

However, Telangana officials are not satisfied with the amount. They explained that the total flood damage is much higher, around Rs 10,000 crore. The cost of repairing roads alone is estimated to be over Rs 7,500 crore.

Officials also mentioned that they had already asked the central government to release funds quickly, but haven’t received a favorable response until now. They pointed out that other states have received more funds, even though Telangana was hit hard by the heavy rains in August this year.
