Good news for medical students! The Telangana government has increased stipends by 15% for MBBS/BDS (House Surgeons), PG Degree, PG Diploma, MDS, and Super specialty courses, as well as honorarium for senior residents. The increase will take effect from January 1, 2023. Health Minister T Harish Rao announced this on his Twitter account. The doctors had been demanding an increase in their stipend because of the financial burden on them. They had threatened to go on strike if their demand was not met. The Health Minister promised to resolve the issue by the end of May.

The junior doctors have expressed their gratitude to the government for resolving their long-standing demand. They believe that this increase in stipend will help in reducing the financial burden on junior doctors and their families. They hope that it will encourage more young doctors to pursue a career in medicine. They are optimistic that this raise in stipend will improve the morale of junior doctors and enhance the quality of care they provide across the state.
