In Hyderabad, thousands of students protested against Guru Nanak University’s management for admitting them into courses without recognition from the University Grants Commission. The students took to the streets after the Telangana State Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) (Amendment) Bill was returned by the Governor. The students fear their future is at stake since the university is functioning without recognition for seven months. They demand ID cards, fee receipts, and clarification on why the university is not recognized yet. The students will continue their protests until they get a proper explanation from the officials.
