Gadwal: District Welfare Officer Ms. Sunanda has announced that the district is now accepting online applications from differently-abled individuals for the 2025–2026 Economic Rehabilitation Scheme. This initiative aims to promote self-employment, traditional crafts, and small industries. Under this scheme, one unit per Mandal and Municipality will receive a ₹50,000 subsidy without requiring a bank link. Additionally, a district-level unit with bank linkage will also be approved.
Applications are open online from July 14 to July 31, 2025, at this website. Applicants must upload the following documents:
- Disability certificate
- Age proof
- Aadhaar card
- Educational certificates
- Income and caste certificates
- Bank passbook
- White ration card
Applicants should submit the printed form and all documents to their local MPDO office.
Eligibility Criteria include:
- A minimum 40% disability
- Age between 21 and 55 years
- Income not exceeding ₹1.5 lakh in rural areas or ₹2 lakh in urban areas

Ms. Priyanka, District Employment Officer, announced a Job Mela aimed at providing training and job opportunities for unemployed youth in Gadwal, Ieeja, Kurnool, and Mahbubnagar. Young people aged 18 to 35 with qualifications like SSC, Intermediate, any Degree, or MBA are invited to attend on July 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the District Employment Office, IDOC Complex, F 30/1.

District Women and Child Welfare Officer Ms. Sunanda stated that applicants for assistive devices must attend document verification at the IDOC building meeting hall on July 15 and 16, 2025.
Applicants must bring:

- Disability certificate
- Aadhaar card
- Ration card

- Unemployment affidavit
- One set of Xerox copies of all documents
Verification on July 15 is for Retro-Fitted Motorized Vehicles, while July 16 is for Battery Mini Trading Auto Vehicles, Mobile Business Battery Tricycles, and other devices. Missing the verification will result in ineligibility, as noted by Ms. Sunanda.
