Gadwal: Various civil society groups and members of the All-Party Committee in Gadwal are urging support for Justice Sudarshan Reddy, a former Supreme Court judge, in the upcoming Vice Presidential election.
The Vice President’s position is currently vacant, and two notable figures are running for the post. Organizers emphasize the need for a leader who upholds constitutional and secular values, fosters unity, and strengthens democracy in today’s political and social climate.
Justice Sudarshan Reddy, originally from the old Mahabubnagar district, is praised for his integrity, legal expertise, and commitment to democracy. Local leaders believe his election would represent the district’s aspirations and positively impact national leadership.
A meeting to rally support for Justice Reddy is set for Monday, September 1, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the TJS Office in Gadwal. Organizers are calling on the district’s two Members of Parliament to back Justice Reddy’s candidacy.
Nagar Doddi Venkatramulu and Md. Iqbal Pasha announced this initiative on behalf of the All-Party Committee and related community organizations.
