    The Suryapet District Police have raised a high alert due to severe flooding on the highways. They are urging travelers to delay their trips to Khammam and Vijayawada.

    According to Superintendent of Police Sunpreet Singh, heavy rains have caused water to overflow onto National Highway 65 at Chillakallu and Nandigama in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, the Paleru River is overflowing onto the road at Nayakinigudem, impacting the route from Suryapet to Khammam.

    As a safety measure, vehicles have been stopped on these routes. Travelers are strongly advised to hold off on their plans until the situation improves. The SP emphasized that these steps are crucial to ensure public safety during the ongoing bad weather.
