    The issue of merging the TSRTC with the government has finally been resolved. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has given her approval for the merger and has congratulated the staff who will now be considered government employees.

    This merger will benefit over 43,000 RTC staff. The Bill was passed by the Telangana State Legislative Assembly last month.

    The Governor, after carefully considering the government’s actions in response to her recommendations, has granted assent to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service Bill-2023). She is satisfied that her recommendations have been addressed.

    One of the Governor’s recommendations was that the ownership of lands, assets, and properties of the TSRTC should remain with the Corporation even after the absorption of RTC employees as government employees. The state Assembly passed the Bill on August 6.
