Heavy police forces have been deployed on the border between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to prevent rallies organized by IT employees and TDP cadre in support of TDP supremo N Chandrababu. The Andhra Pradesh government sent special police forces to the border between Kodad and Jaggaaihpet based on intelligence inputs. There was already tension at the border as some IT employee teams entered AP and reached Rajahmundry to stage a dharna. Former TDP leader Motkupally Narasimhulu announced a dharna at NTR Ghat on Sunday and a rally to Rajahmundry where Chandrababu Naidu is currently in jail for his alleged involvement in a skill development scam.

Police forces are closely monitoring vehicle movements at the border area to prevent entry into Andhra. They are also on high alert at Bhadrachalam and the Andhra border for the possibility of IT employees union and TDP cadre entering AP and directly reaching Rajahmundry. The government has instructed the police to file cases against anyone causing a law and order problem at the border.
