The Telangana High Court has issued important orders regarding the Kaleshwaram project. They ruled that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will not conduct an investigation based on the report by Justice PC Ghose. This decision came after a petition from former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and MLA Harish Rao. They challenged the findings of the Kaleshwaram Commission report.
The Advocate General represented the state government during the court proceedings. He argued that the CBI would continue its investigation into the Kaleshwaram project, regardless of the commission’s report. He stated that their inquiry would be based on the National Data Security Agency (NDSA) report. The Advocate General claimed that the interim petitions by KCR and Harish Rao were invalid. He supported the government’s choice to have the CBI handle the investigation.
The High Court has set the next hearing for October 7. Until then, no action will be taken. The court will review all arguments after its vacation period ends.
