Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan addressed the Telangana Assembly on Friday, expressing that the state is now free from autocratic rule. She acknowledged that the people of Telangana have already experienced positive changes and assured that the government will fulfill all its promises. Tamilisai emphasized that the year 2023 marks a new beginning for Telangana and emphasized the importance of respecting constitutional institutions. She thanked the leaders and parties involved in the creation of Telangana as a separate state and paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for this cause.

The Governor criticized the previous regime for their poor governance, which resulted in financial mismanagement. She stated that the present government is committed to improving the state’s financial situation and will provide transparency by releasing whitepapers on each department’s financial condition. Tamilisai commended Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for emphasizing that the government is meant to serve the people and not act as feudal lords. She highlighted the ‘Praja Vaani’ program, where grievances from the people are heard at the CM’s camp office, as a significant step towards accountable governance.
