Students to Get Free Trips to Historical Sites Under New Telangana Program
Hyderabad: Students in government schools will now have a chance to visit historical and tourist sites for free, thanks to a new initiative by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The program, called Telangana Darshini, has been officially announced, and the government has already issued orders to start the scheme.
The main goal of the Telangana Darshini program is to help students learn through real-life experiences instead of just classroom lessons. Studies show that visiting places in person helps students understand subjects better. To support this idea, the program will take students to important cultural and historical landmarks across Telangana. Chief Minister Reddy and Excise and Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao launched the program by unveiling a poster.
The initiative will include students from 2nd grade all the way up to college level. They will be grouped based on their educational level and taken to different tourist spots. The government has set aside ₹12.10 crores to cover the costs, including transportation. In the first phase, the goal is to take 100,000 students on these educational trips.
To make sure everything runs smoothly, a committee will be set up to appoint nodal officers. These officers will work with different departments to ensure the program’s successful implementation. More details about how the program will work will be shared in the government order.
This initiative is expected to give students a richer educational experience and help them appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Telangana.
