    The Telangana State Government has provided details of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) to the National Dam Safety Authority. The Medigadda barrage, where piers sank recently, is included in these details.

    The State Dam Safety Authority (SDSA) submitted information on 15 out of the 17 items requested by the National Dam Safety Authority. The remaining two items will be submitted soon.

    The government was asked to provide information on 20 different categories related to the construction of the Medigadda barrage and safety measures at other barrages, reservoirs, and pump sets. The authority has already visited the project site and confirmed the safety of the Medigadda barrage after examining the sinking piers.

    The government is ready to explain all aspects of the Kaleshwaram Lift Scheme, including barricades and how the pump sets operate to lift water to reservoirs throughout the scheme.
