Hyderabad is set to become a major hub for electronics manufacturing with the launch of a cutting-edge Electronic City (E-City). This major initiative is part of the state’s larger Future City project aimed at driving innovation and attracting global investments in the tech sector.
State IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu shared the news during a meeting with key investors from Sera Networks (based in Taiwan) and LCGC Resolute Group (from Telangana). These two companies have pledged a combined investment of ₹300 crore to help build the E-City.
The E-City will serve as a hub for producing advanced electronic products. It will be developed across 1,000 acres and is expected to create around 2,500 jobs. The facility will focus on manufacturing 5G technology, multi-layer networking equipment, and high-performance servers.
To make the process smoother for investors, the government plans to form a dedicated task force. This team will help companies navigate the setup process and reduce red tape. The minister also promised customized infrastructure support based on each company’s needs.
In a push to develop smaller cities, Sridhar Babu announced that businesses setting up operations in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities will receive special incentives. These benefits aim to encourage balanced industrial growth beyond major urban centers.
Top officials present at the event included TGIIC CEO Madhusudan, T-Fiber MD Venu Prasad, and key representatives from both investing companies—Chuan, Joy Bhattacharya, and Douglas from Sera Networks, along with Ranvinder Singh and Geetanjali Sabharwal from LCGC Resolute Group.
With the launch of E-City, Hyderabad is positioning itself as a future-ready destination for global electronics manufacturing and innovation.
