Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has delayed the hearing of the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) land dispute case. The new hearing date is set for April 24. The court mentioned that the issue is also being looked at by the Supreme Court. It asked for all necessary reports and counter-statements to be submitted before the next hearing.
Senior lawyer Menaka Guruswamy is representing the Telangana state government in the case. The government plans to argue about fake or edited videos that have been shared online related to the land issue.
The state government is also thinking about taking legal action against some well-known people, including politicians Kishan Reddy and K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). These individuals have posted messages about the land dispute on social media. Officials are checking if they can file cases against those spreading false information through videos and posts.
The HCU land case has gained a lot of public and political attention. Many people and groups have shared their views. More updates are expected when the court meets again in April.
