Gadwal celebrated the Telangana State Formation Day with enthusiasm at the Integrated District Offices Complex. A.P. Jitender Reddy, Telangana Government’s Special Representative to New Delhi, and Nagar Kurnool MP Dr. Mallu Ravi attended as chief guests. A police guard of honor welcomed them, followed by the hoisting of the national flag.
A.P. Jitender Reddy extended wishes on the 11th Telangana State Formation Day to the people of Jogulamba Gadwal. He honored those who sacrificed their lives for Telangana’s statehood, including local heroes Pasya Sarva Reddy and Kottam Venugopal. He praised Telangana’s rapid progress and saluted the families of those who fought for its creation.
Under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana is advancing with the “Telangana Rising – Vision 2047” plan, which was shared at the NITI Aayog meeting. This plan focuses on welfare, social justice, green energy, infrastructure, and tourism.
The government aims to empower one crore women financially. In Jogulamba Gadwal, 1.84 crore women benefited from the free RTC travel scheme, saving ₹66.45 crores. 95,420 people gained from the ₹500 gas cylinder subsidy, totaling ₹8.02 crores. The 200 units free electricity scheme provided 9.43 lakh zero bills, benefiting 81,121 households with savings of ₹24.39 crores.
To boost women’s financial independence, new power plants, petrol stations, and canteens were opened. In Shilparamam, 100 Indira Mahila Shakti stalls started. Women’s groups purchased 600 buses, leasing them to RTC, with 150 already in operation.
The government waived ₹20,617 crores in farm loans for 25.35 lakh farmers, including ₹513.99 crores for 58,113 farmers in Gadwal. Through the Rythu Bharosa scheme, ₹12,000 per acre is provided. For the 2024–25 Rabi season, ₹140.96 crores went to 1,34,400 farmers.
Procurement payments now occur within 24 hours. This season, 87,065 metric tonnes of paddy were bought from 13,748 farmers through 75 centers, with ₹146.39 crores credited to 9,875 farmers. Farmers affected by unseasonal rains got ₹10,000 per acre. A ₹500 per quintal bonus was paid for 54,798 metric tonnes of fine rice, totaling ₹27.39 crores.
Landless agricultural laborers receive ₹12,000 annually under the Indiramma Aatmiya Bharosa scheme. Programs like Indiramma houses and subsidized rice aim to address hunger, with three months of free rice distributed in June.
Telangana leads in welfare and social justice, being the first state to implement Scheduled Caste categorization and offering 42% reservations for BCs. The state is creating 60,000 government jobs and attracting ₹3 lakh crores in investments, generating one lakh private jobs. The Rajiv Abhaya Hastam scheme supports civil services aspirants financially.
The state aims to become a trillion-dollar economy. Significant changes in education have increased the SSC pass rate in Gadwal from 81.38% in 2024 to 91.74% in 2025. Construction of 58 Young India Model Schools is underway. A new medical college is planned for Gadwal, and a dedicated education commission has been established.
Under Indiramma Housing, 4.5 lakh houses are being built, with 3,500 per constituency. For tribal welfare, 10,000 homes and the Indira Solar Giri Water Development program have been launched to meet irrigation and power needs.
The Bhoo Bharathi Act – 2025 addresses land issues and protects government lands, simplifying the buying and selling of agricultural land. Pilot revenue meetings were held in four mandals, including Ieeja mandal, Gadwal. From June 3 to 20, meetings will occur in all remaining revenue villages to resolve land disputes, with 43,670 already settled.
Plans are in place to develop Hyderabad into a global city. The Metro Rail is expanding, and the GHMC has merged the Cantonment Board. A new city, Future City, is planned across 30,000 acres. Development divides the state into Core Urban, Urban, and Rural Zones.
