Voting for the municipal elections in Telangana started at 7 am on Wednesday and will go on until 5 pm. The election process faced some issues, including minor conflicts, slogans, and attempts at vote manipulation in districts like Mahabubabad, Nizamabad, Medak, and Sangareddy.

In Mahabubabad town, small fights broke out at polling booths 32 and 33. These involved Congress and BRS supporters competing in ward 14. Both groups blamed each other and got into physical altercations, which increased the tension in the area.

There were claims that BRS activists attacked Congress supporters. This situation led to a strong police presence to separate the groups and calm the situation. Authorities have stationed a large police force in Ward 14 and nearby polling stations to ensure peace.
