Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy impressed top CEOs and business leaders at a roundtable held by the Consulate General of India in New York on Tuesday. He promoted Telangana as a prime spot for investments, highlighting the state’s strong support system for global companies. He also introduced the ‘Future City,’ a new development in Greater Hyderabad, equipped with exceptional facilities. The event saw over 20 top executives from various sectors like pharma, IT, technology, EV, biotech, and shipping.
The Chief Minister emphasized Hyderabad and Telangana as leading investment destinations. He pointed out their strong presence in software, life sciences, and pharma, as well as a solid base in aerospace, defense, and electronics. He proudly mentioned how Telangana helped the world during the Covid pandemic by producing millions of vaccines for multiple countries.
Revanth Reddy highlighted the state’s great infrastructure, talented workforce, and investor-friendly policies. He noted that Hyderabad, a 425-year-old city, is almost as old as the United States.
Talking about future projects, Reddy introduced the ‘Future City,’ India’s first net-zero city. This new development aims to be a hub for AI, medical tourism, sports, software, and pharma. He referred to it as a “second round of gold rush” and promised a new industrial policy to make it easier to start and expand businesses in Telangana. He reiterated, “Telangana means business.”
He invited global business leaders to visit Telangana. He encouraged them to explore opportunities and collaborate for a brighter future.
IT Minister D Sridhar Babu also spoke at the event. He detailed Hyderabad’s strengths across various industries and outlined policies aimed at making Telangana a viable alternative to China for manufacturing. His goal is to develop Hyderabad into one of the top 10 cities in the world.
