Telangana marked its State Formation Day with celebrations in Hyderabad on Monday. During the event, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy outlined ambitious plans for the state’s future.
He announced that Telangana aims to become a $1 trillion economy within the next decade. By 2047, the target is to reach a $3 trillion economy, with the state’s contribution to India’s GDP doubling from 5% to 10%.
To achieve these goals, the government is launching initiatives in industries, infrastructure, and investments. The Chief Minister emphasized efforts to position Telangana as a leader in development and public welfare.
On this occasion, individuals who contributed to the Telangana movement were honored. The government awarded Rs. 1 crore each to nine contributors, including writers, singers, and artists.
Notable recipients included Ande Sri, Pasham Yadagiri, Ekka Yadagiri Rao, and Suddala Ashok Teja. Families of late figures like Gude Anjaiah, Balladeer Gaddar, and Bandi Yadagiri also received awards.
Since poet Goreti Venkanna was absent from Hyderabad, a Rs. 1 lakh award was given to his daughter. Additionally, the Kaloji Award was presented to Nelimela Bhaskar for his contributions to literature.
