The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that Telangana, including Hyderabad, will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms for the next few days. This intense weather is likely to persist until June 17.
On Tuesday, Hyderabad saw temperatures drop below 30°C, and they are expected to fall further as the rain continues.
The IMD has issued several alerts:
– A heavy rainfall warning for various districts until June 13.
– A yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and winds between 40 to 50 km/h across most districts.
More than 30 districts are under rain and storm alerts, including:
– Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy
– Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Khammam
– Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, and others
The forecast suggests that Telangana will continue to face rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds throughout the week, with June 13 being particularly notable for severe thunderstorms.
Residents are advised to:
