A major step has taken place in the probe of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project in Telangana. K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), a former Chief Minister and leader of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samiti (BRS), attended a session with the Kaleshwaram Commission today.
Justice P.C. Ghosh heads the commission, which is investigating aspects like re-engineering, dam building, contracts, the formation of the Kaleshwaram Corporation, and water storage. So far, only nine leaders, including KCR, have been allowed for questioning.
Reports state that the commission has already interviewed 114 people. Noteworthy appearances include Etala Rajender and Harish Rao, who participated on the 6th and 9th of this month.
The investigation into the Kaleshwaram project is gaining momentum with KCR’s involvement, drawing more public interest.
