    BJP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy visited farmers in Ravinuthala village in Khammam district. He looked at crops that were damaged by untimely rains, and talked to farmers to offer his support. Along with other leaders, Ponguleti demanded that the government provide Rs 50,000 per acre as compensation for the damaged crops.

    Ponguleti expressed his frustration with the BRS government for not helping farmers in need. He said that farmers who grew paddy, chili, and maize suffered huge losses due to the untimely rains, but no BRS leader or Minister came to inspect the crops. Ponguleti accused BRS leaders of using farmers for political purposes, but not supporting them when they need help.
