The IT and Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao will visit Nalgonda on May 15. This visit is a result of CM KCR’s promise during the 2018 assembly elections to adopt Nalgonda and make it more beautiful. So far, the CM has granted Rs 1,164 crore to fund beautification and development projects in the town. Some of these projects worth Rs 123 crore have been recently completed.

During the visit, KTR will study proposals to sanction another Rs 102.74 crore for ongoing projects. However, rural areas in Nalgonda have not received enough funds for their development. Additionally, there have been accusations of corruption against officials and the BRS MLA.
