Hyderabad: Tensions rose at the Telangana Secretariat as family members of battalion constables held a protest. The protestors were demanding that their loved ones be posted in the same location instead of being transferred to different places frequently.
Wives and relatives of the constables gathered near the Secretariat, asking the authorities to ease the hardship caused by these constant transfers. They believe that if constables are allowed to stay in one location, it will help them better manage their family responsibilities.
To control the situation, the police intervened quickly. Several protestors were arrested and taken to the police station to disperse the crowd.
This protest highlights the ongoing concerns of police personnel’s families, who are asking for more stability and support for constables serving in battalion roles across Telangana.
