Hyderabad: The Telangana government has decided to keep NVS Reddy as the Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) and Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) for one more year.
The official order was issued by M Dana Kishore, Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department, on Tuesday. The extension has been in effect since April 1, 2025.
The decision was made because the second phase of the Metro Rail Project is about to begin, and planning is underway for Phase-II (B) of the Metro.
Officials said that since NVS Reddy has been deeply involved in these plans, continuing his services will help ensure the successful execution of the projects.
