Hyderabad: The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day at its Masab Tank office with enthusiasm and a forward-thinking message.
The event began with the national flag being raised by Chairman Prof. V. Balakista Reddy. Vice-Chairman Prof. Etikaala Purushotham, Secretary Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, and many staff members from TGCHE and TAFRC attended.
In his speech, Prof. Reddy honored India’s freedom fighters and stressed the importance of valuing independence. He spoke about Telangana as the youngest state and its potential leadership role through education changes.
Prof. Reddy confirmed the Council’s dedication to the state government’s “Telangana Rising–2047” plan. He highlighted the need for youth to gain skills for a fast-changing world and encouraged educators to help build a developed India leading in knowledge and economy.
Vice-Chairman Prof. Etikaala Purushotham supported these ideas, urging the young to embrace social justice and gender equality in schools. He highlighted the Council’s focus on technology-based learning and inclusive education to promote unity.
Secretary Prof. Sriram Venkatesh ended the ceremony with thanks, praising the efforts of the Council’s staff and their commitment to educational excellence.
