Hyderabad – The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) has kicked off celebrations to mark 10 years of promoting eco-friendly development and forest preservation in the state.
Over the past decade, TGFDC has worked to protect Telangana’s forests, boost eco-tourism, and encourage green innovations. The organization has grown into one of the state’s most successful and financially strong public sector units.
Dr. G Chandrashekar Reddy, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of TGFDC, highlighted the organization’s mission. He said their goal is to manage forests in a sustainable way while involving local communities in the process.
“Our work over the last ten years shows our strong focus on green development and protecting nature,” Dr. Reddy explained. “We aim to build a system that is not just profitable, but also helps people and supports forest growth.”
TGFDC has taken major steps in areas like forest-based industries, corporate social responsibility (CSR), renewable energy, and eco-tourism. These efforts have made a positive impact on both the environment and the local economy.
As the organization celebrates its 10th anniversary, it continues to look ahead with plans that support the environment, involve the community, and strengthen the state’s green future.
