Hyderabad – In celebration of World Environment Day, the Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) organized a special art event for school students on Wednesday.
The competitions, held at TGPCB and Jawahar Bal Bhavan Auditorium, invited students from three age groups—Primary, Secondary, and High School—to participate in drawing and painting contests.
More than 200 students took part, using their art to spread powerful environmental messages. Their drawings focused on major issues like air, land, water, and plastic pollution. Many also highlighted the need to save water and energy, and encouraged people to plant more trees to protect the planet.
The most creative and impactful artworks will be recognized during an award ceremony on June 5. The event will take place at the TGPCB headquarters in Sanathnagar.
Through this initiative, the TGPCB aims to inspire young minds to care for the environment and become future champions of sustainability.
