TGPCB to hold contests before World Environment Day

Hyderabad – The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) will host a special student competition from May 21 to 23 to celebrate World Environment Day 2025.

This three-day event is designed to raise awareness about protecting the environment. The TGPCB has planned a series of fun and creative contests like dance performances, skits, and painting competitions.

These events are open to two student age groups: primary school and high school students. Organizers encourage young participants to express their ideas about nature and conservation through art and performance.

The competition themes will focus on key environmental issues, including air, water, land, and plastic pollution. Other topics will highlight the importance of saving energy, preserving water, and planting trees to expand green spaces.

A senior TGPCB official said that winners from each category will receive prizes during a special award ceremony hosted by the board. The goal is to inspire students to care for the planet and take action for a cleaner, greener future.
