Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) had to cancel many bus services due to heavy rainfall in the state. This included some buses that travel between states.

Because of the continuous rain, TGSRTC has cancelled over 1,400 buses across the state. On Sunday alone, 877 buses were cancelled, and another 570 buses were cancelled on Monday.

The heavy rains caused major roads leading to places like Khammam, Vijayawada, and Mahabubabad to flood. As a result, buses traveling to and from Khammam, Warangal, and Mahabubabad were mostly affected and had to be cancelled.

TGSRTC has announced that bus services will resume once the roads are cleared of water. In the meantime, buses going from Hyderabad to Vijayawada are being diverted through Guntur.
