Hyderabad: Thousands of devotees gathered for the Jagannath Rath Yatra organized by the ISKCON temple at Abids. They took part in the event on Friday, joyfully chanting “Jai Jagannath” as the deities traveled on their chariots.
The city’s well-known ISKCON Temples led impressive processions from their locations. Streets were adorned with colorful traditional rangoli designs.
A stunning chariot carried Lord Jagannath, Balarama, and Subhadra, moving through places like the Secunderabad ISKCON Temple to Clock Tower and from NTR Grounds to Exhibition Ground. Priests recited Vedic hymns during the journey.
In Ramgopalpet, the 130-year-old Sri Jagannath temple hosted similar events and rituals. Earlier, the ISKCON in Secunderabad saw many devotees participating in the festivities, offering prayers to the deities.
