In the recent One District One Exhibition (ODOE) program in Telangana, three innovations stood out among 30 innovators from the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC). These innovations included a multi-crop threshing machine, Kisan Remote, and a fertiliser injector, which were recognized for their practical solutions at the exhibitions.
The event was sponsored by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD and took place in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubnagar, and Nizamabad districts. Grassroots innovators supported by TSIC and Palle Srujana showcased market-ready, low-cost innovations addressing challenges in agriculture, irrigation, waste management, dairy farming, and rural development.
One of the innovators, Velle Srinivas, created the ‘Kisan Remote’ to help farmers with irrigation management. The remote allows farmers to control the motor without touching the starter, reducing electrical hazards and improving energy management. Shashidhar Edulapuram developed a fertiliser injector to apply fertiliser efficiently without bending over. Khaja Moinudiin invented a mobile multi-crop thresher machine for efficient threshing work.
These innovations aim to provide practical solutions for farmers and improve agricultural practices in Telangana.
