Traffic Advisory Issued in Hyderabad for August 26 Due to Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations

The city of Hyderabad will see traffic diversions on August 26, 2024, due to the “Sri Krishna Janmashtami” celebrations at the ISKCON temple in Abids.

These changes will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m., depending on the situation and only for the necessary duration.

Firstly, traffic coming from Gunfoundry and Tilak Road, heading towards Nampally Station Road, will be diverted at the GPO Junction towards MJ Market.

Secondly, vehicles moving from MJ Market towards GPO Junction will be redirected at MJ Market towards Nampally.

Thirdly, traffic from Nampally to Koti Bank Street will proceed as usual, following the route from Bharath Petrol Pump – Left – ACB Lane – Yousuf & Company – Troop Bazar – Koti Bank Street.

Additionally, traffic coming from the BJP State office will not be allowed to move towards the old Collectorate Office Junction. Instead, it will be diverted towards MJ Market Road.

Commuters are advised to avoid these junctions and use alternative routes to prevent traffic congestion. In case of emergencies, travelers can call the traffic helpline at 9010203626 for assistance.

The following routes and junctions should be avoided from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.: Yousuf & Company, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Abids Circle, Old Hyderabad Collector Office, Chirag Ali, and Nampally Station Road.

For devotees attending the ISKCON Temple, parking is available at two locations: Exhibition Ground in Nampally and Vasanth Vihar Open area behind GPO, Abids.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police request all commuters to follow the traffic advisory and cooperate with the traffic authorities to ensure smooth travel during the celebrations.

The public is encouraged to spread this information widely for the safety and convenience of everyone.
