The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd. (TSSPDCL) is preparing to provide stable power supply during the Bonalu festival in Hyderabad from July 7 to August 8. Chairman and MD Musharraf Faruqui stated that all arrangements will be completed by July 2.
To ensure continuous power supply, CEs/SEs will inspect temples two days before the festival. Each temple will have a designated nodal officer/AE for coordination. The Discom will work with the R&B department and temple committees to handle additional power needs like temporary lights, air conditioning, and sound systems.
Plans are in place for alternate power supplies where needed. Field staff will have the necessary equipment to address any issues. Safety measures include checking poles for shocks and preventing power leakages. Tong-tester readings of distribution transformers at key locations will be taken hourly and recorded.
Officials were instructed to address any abnormalities immediately during the festival period.
