    Hyderabad: Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy has asked irrigation authorities to fix the damage caused to bunds of lakes and other structures in Telangana due to continuous rain.

    In a video conference with officials and engineers from the Irrigation department, the minister told them to keep a close watch on the situation. He emphasized the importance of preventing any loss of property or life after the heavy rainfall over the past two days.

    Given the red alert issued, the minister reminded the department officials that all holidays are canceled because of the current situation. He instructed them to stay alert and work to minimize damage caused by rain and flooding. The engineers briefed the minister on the current inflows and the extent of damages.

    The minister specifically ordered the immediate repair of the lake bund at Kesamudram railway track. He also decided to visit Suryapet district on Monday, as Kodad and Huzurnagar have experienced severe flooding following the rain.
