Kothagudem: Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Vaddiraju Ravichandra has approved Rs 20 lakh from his MPLADS (Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme) funds for development works at the 6th Battalion in Chathakonda, located in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The official letter confirming the allocation of funds was given to the concerned authorities. The Commandant of the Battalion, D. Sivaprasad Reddy, and RI G.V. Rama Rao had met MP Ravichandra in Khammam to request financial support for the battalion.
They explained that the funds would be used to build a saluting dais and a gallery at the battalion premises. On receiving confirmation of the sanction, Commandant Sivaprasad Reddy expressed his gratitude to MP Ravichandra for his support.
