Viatris Pharma Donates ₹6.4 Crores for Government School Children’s Breakfast Program
Hyderabad: In a move to improve the nutritional standards of government school children, Viatris Pharma has donated ₹6.4 crores from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. This money will be used to provide quality breakfast to students in the Kodangal constituency.
The initiative is part of a pilot project that will benefit around 28,000 students across 312 government schools in the area. The breakfast program will help ensure that children receive nutritious meals, which are important for their health and education.
The program will be carried out by the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Viatris and the foundation to formalize the partnership. This took place in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat.
At the event, Viatris CSR head, Michelle Dominica, and Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation CEO, Kaunteya Das, exchanged the MoU documents. Other attendees included Archana Suresh, head of the T-SIG division that oversees CSR activities, and Venkat Reddy, Special Officer of the Kodangal Area Urban Development Authority (KADA).
This initiative is a key step towards the well-being of children in the constituency, ensuring they have access to nutritious food, which will help them focus better in school.
