The All India 49th Dance Competitions, organized by Navya Nataka Samiti in collaboration with the Telangana Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, recently concluded in Hyderabad. The event, which lasted for eight days, was held at Ravindra Bharathi and celebrated India’s rich culture of classical music and dance.
Participants from different states showcased their talents in various classical music and dance forms. The final day was particularly special, as first-prize winners delivered captivating performances in music and group dance, leaving the audience amazed.
Dr. K. V. Ramana Chary, IAS (Retd.), former advisor to the Government of Telangana, and Prof. Alekhya Punjala, chairperson of the Telangana Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, were the chief guests of the event. They handed out prizes and certificates to the winners, praising their dedication and artistic skills.
Smt. U.V.L. Ananda, the chairman of the organizing committee, expressed pride in the high level of talent displayed during the competition. Other notable figures, including Smt. G. Vasundhara, deputy director of treasuries and accounts, and Sri Rajith Akula, CEO of I-Yuga Consultancy Services, also participated in the prize distribution.
The event served as a platform to promote and preserve the classical traditions of Indian music and dance. The group dance performances added to the grandeur of the competition, providing a memorable experience for both participants and the audience.
