On Friday, Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar and district collector Sikta Patnaik paid tribute to BR Ambedkar in Hanumakonda. Vinay stated that the Indian Constitution’s provisions allowed for the creation of separate Telangana, which was a visionary move made possible by Ambedkar. He also highlighted the Telangana government’s respect for Ambedkar, as seen in the installation of his 125 feet statue in Hyderabad. Vinay praised KCR for following Ambedkar’s path of empowering dalits and advocating for the rights of women, minorities, and the socially underprivileged.

Sikta Patnaik described Ambedkar as a jurist, economist, politician, and social reformer, emphasizing the relevance of his economic ideas today. She also noted his tireless work to incorporate untouchables into mainstream society and uplift their status. Commissioner of Police AV Ranganath encouraged youth to idolize Ambedkar for his determination and hard work. Other attendees included Hanumakonda zilla parishad chairman Sudheer Kumar, Kakatiya Urban Development Authority chairman S Sunder Raj Yadav, additional collector Sandhya Rani, DRO Vasu Chandra, and SC welfare officer Nirmala.
