Warangal: The election schedule for the governing body of the Warangal Urban Co-operative Bank was announced by the State Cooperative Election Authority on July 31. M Valya Naik, the Cooperative Officer from Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, will oversee the election as the Election Officer.
The official notification was issued on August 4. Candidates can submit their nomination forms on August 8, 11, and 12, with scrutiny taking place on August 13.
Nomination withdrawal, finalizing the candidate list, and symbol allocation will happen on August 14. Voting, vote counting, and result announcements are scheduled for August 21.
Out of 12 board seats, 1 is set aside for the SC/ST category, 2 for women, and 9 for the open category. Different colored ballot papers will be used: light blue for SC/ST, light pink for women, and white for the open category. The Election Officer assured that the process will be fair and democratic, following the Telangana Cooperative Societies Act, 1964. He encouraged all registered members on the voter list to participate and vote.
