A free medical camp was held at the Government Science Degree College in Nagar Kurnool district. The event was organized by the Women Empowerment Department and the District Medical and Health Department, with a focus on the health of female students. Women medical specialists, including Dr. Mahati, Dr. Sravani, Dr. Sandhya, and Dr. Madhuri, conducted health check-ups for each student. They also provided free medicines where necessary and shared important health advice.
During the event, the doctors emphasized the importance of nutrition, particularly for adolescent girls. They advised the students to eat healthy food regularly and maintain good personal hygiene. The medical specialists also encouraged the girls to get regular health check-ups and seek medical help immediately if they experience any health issues.
In addition to the medical advice, hemoglobin tests were conducted for all the students. Those who had low hemoglobin levels were given free medication to help improve their condition. The event aimed to raise health awareness among the students and ensure they receive the necessary medical support.
College Principal Kamar Shajahan Sultana expressed her gratitude to the District Medical and Health Department for organizing this camp. She said it was very beneficial for both the students and the female staff. She also urged everyone to follow the health recommendations provided by the specialists to stay healthy. Special thanks were given to Dr. Srinivasulu and Dr. Venkatdas, Programming Officers from the Medical and Health Department, for their role in organizing the event.
The camp saw participation from various faculty members, including Women Empowerment Officer Umadevi, Vanitha, Asha Begum, and medical staff like Kavitha Sister and ASHA worker Shobharani. Everyone involved worked to make the event a success.
