Wanaparthy: District Collector Adarsh Surabhi emphasized the importance of yoga for health. He noted that modern lifestyles and work stress contribute to various health issues. To combat these, he advised incorporating yoga into daily routines. On Saturday, he joined a yoga event held by the AYUSH department at Marrikunta Tribal Welfare School.
The session was led by District Yoga General Secretary Suguna, with participation from officials and students. The Collector highlighted that today’s fast-paced life often leads to health challenges. Practicing yoga regularly can help individuals maintain good health.
He pointed out that yoga was a key part of life for ancient Indians. He also mentioned that June 21 is celebrated as Yoga Day because it has the longest daylight of the year. Yoga, he said, enhances physical health, mental calmness, and stress management skills.
