Mahabubnagar: District Collector Viziyendira Boyi has called on officials to ensure they accurately collect and promptly upload data for the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 for 2023-24. She addressed this during a training session for MPDOs, MPOs, Panchayat Secretaries, and other department officials at the Collectorate conference hall.
She emphasized that Mahabubnagar should strive for the top spot in the National Panchayat Awards. The focus should be on data related to nine key areas: poverty-free villages, improved livelihoods, healthy and child-friendly panchayats, water sufficiency, cleanliness, greenery, self-reliance, inclusive governance, and women-friendly communities.
The Collector instructed the secretaries to work closely with departments to gather and upload data by July 15. Mandal-level officers are responsible for verifying the data and then forwarding it to the Zilla Parishad CEO and the state level. She noted that Telangana secured the second position nationally last year and expressed confidence that Mahabubnagar could achieve the top rank this year.
For Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2025, the Collector urged improved performance. Rankings will consider service level progress, citizen feedback, field observations, and third-party inspections of villages and homes.
She reviewed the progress of the Indiramma housing project and asked officials to expedite the grounding of approved houses.
From June 25 to July 8, awareness campaigns will occur in 25 tribal hamlets and 14 Chenchu villages under the PM-JANMAN and PM-Dhartiawabha schemes. The goal is to achieve 100% coverage of Aadhaar, ration cards, Ayushman Bharat, caste certificates, KCC, and Jan Dhan accounts.
Officials were tasked with collecting applications from those lacking essential documents and ensuring that benefits reach all eligible families.
