Khammam: Ten Anganwadi centers in the Khammam district now have reliable solar power, thanks to a young volunteer from the United States who has family ties to the region.

Abhi Bathula, a high school student from Millburn, New Jersey, helped raise money and organize the setup of solar panels at these centers. He worked with his grandparents, Dr. B Janaki Ramaiah and Dr. B Sarojini, to make this project happen.

The solar panels were officially launched this Thursday at Kotha Lingala village in Kamepalli Mandal. The event was attended by District Collector Muzammil Khan, local leaders, teachers, parents, and many excited children.

“It was a meaningful experience to work on something that supports the needs of children and their caregivers. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this possible,” said Abhi Bathula during the event.
