Karimnagar: Pradesh Youth Congress general secretary and Regional Transport Authority member Padala Rahul has welcomed the Chief Minister’s decision to keep BC (Backward Classes) reservations at a minimum of 42%. He also noted that the reservations might be increased if needed.
Rahul highlighted that conducting a caste census is a historic move. He stated that the Gandhi family has always honored their commitments, and the caste census is proof of this dedication. According to him, since the Congress Party is determined to carry out the caste census and apply reservations accordingly, BCs and backward-class youth should vote for their representatives in the upcoming Gram Panchayat elections. He suggested this as a way to show appreciation for Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.
He further mentioned that the caste census report has already been completed, and recommendations for BC reservations have been prepared. Rahul assured that the Congress Party will stand by its election promise of providing 42% BC reservations. He added that a dedicated BC Commission has submitted its recommendations regarding BC reservations for wards and panchayats, and the government is ready to implement them.
