Hyderabad: The state government is planning to set up new schools called Young India Integrated Residential Schools in more than 100 Assembly constituencies. These schools will be similar to the Young India Skill Development and Young India Sports Training Centres. The goal is to bring significant changes to education in the state.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy spoke about this plan during the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhaya Hastham cheque distribution event. He said that just like people proudly say they studied at famous institutions like Stanford, students from Telangana should also feel proud to say they attended these new residential schools. The schools will not only focus on education but will also provide training in important skills, helping to create a strong workforce and encouraging entrepreneurship.

These schools will have high-quality facilities that meet national standards. This will help students develop a competitive spirit and increase the number of people from the state joining civil services like the IAS. The schools will be built on large areas of land, around 20 to 25 acres, and will be similar to International Schools. The first of these schools will be built in Kodangal and Madhira, the constituencies of Revanth Reddy and M Bhatti Vikramarka.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the upcoming Skill University, which will start training 20,000 people next year. Similarly, the Young India Sports University, beginning from the next academic year, aims to train athletes who can win medals in international sports events.

Additionally, the Chief Minister announced that the government would appoint vice chancellors to all universities within the next 10 to 15 days. The government will also fill the vacant teaching and non-teaching positions in these universities. He urged students not to be influenced by the opposition, which he accused of trying to disrupt exams and prevent the government from filling these vacancies.

Revanth Reddy criticized the BRS party, saying that while they were in power, they did not hold exams or fill vacant posts. He suggested that the opposition is now afraid of the impact that the current government’s actions could have on their political future.
