Khammam: A large job fair was held on Monday at Reddy Gardens in Madhira town, aiming to help 5,000 unemployed youth find jobs. The event was officially launched by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.
During his speech, Bhatti shared that over 100 companies took part in the fair. On the first day itself, about 2,500 people were offered jobs. He encouraged young people to make use of such opportunities to start building their careers.
He said that job fairs are especially helpful for those who have completed their studies, so they don’t remain unemployed. Bhatti advised the youth to see their first job as a stepping stone and aim for bigger goals using their earnings.
The Deputy CM emphasized that youth are a valuable asset to the state. He said that when young people are employed, it benefits their families, the economy, and society as a whole. He also warned against the dangers of unemployment, such as falling into bad habits or becoming a burden to their families.
Bhatti also spoke about the youth who were part of the Telangana State movement. He said they had high hopes, but the previous government failed to provide them with job opportunities over the last ten years.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Bhatti said the government is using a three-step plan to improve job opportunities. First, the Public Service Commission was reorganized and a job calendar was announced. As a result, 56,000 government jobs were already filled, and they plan to fill another 30,000 soon.
In the second step, the government is working to attract multinational companies by offering resources and encouraging investments. This is expected to create many private sector job openings for the youth.
The third step involves supporting self-employment. On June 2, Telangana’s Formation Day, the government will hand out documents under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme to help young people start their own ventures. Additionally, 65 ITI colleges across the state have been upgraded to provide better skill training.
Many people attended the job fair, including District In-charge Collector Dr. P. Sreeja, Singareni General Manager Salim Raju, company representatives, officials, and many young job seekers.
