Nirmal: District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav stressed the importance of teamwork among departments to solve public problems.
During a meeting with officials at the Collectorate on Monday, she asked tahsildars to keep track of the Bhu Bharati Act implementation and ensure quick handling of applications. The marking for Indiramma housing is 55% done, and she urged the completion of the rest and start of construction soon. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Nirmal district provided special Aarogyasri health cards to orphaned children in shelters, which allows them up to Rs 10 lakh in free corporate healthcare.
The Collector praised women’s groups from the district for being honored at an event in Hyderabad. Under the district’s Horticulture department, farmer Sandupatla Rajeshwar from Tandhra Ji village in Sarangapur mandal received a Rs 93,775 subsidy cheque. This was the first installment for building a shed for mulberry leaf farming under the Silk Samagra-2 scheme, which has a total budget of Rs 4.5 lakh. The Collector motivated farmers to be innovative and grow new crops for higher profits.
