Nagar Kurnool Revenue Additional Collector K. Sitarama Rao visited wheat buying centers in Kollapur, Machinenipalli, and Pentlavelli to ensure farmers can easily collect their paddy. He emphasized the importance of providing all necessary facilities at the purchase centers, especially considering the rainy weather. Rao instructed farmers to bring completely dried paddy to the centers and ordered steps be taken to promptly transport purchased grain to the mills.
To prevent the grain from getting wet, necessary tarpaulins will be provided to farmers. Additionally, efforts will be made to ensure a sufficient supply of gunny bags by coordinating with authorities. Farmers are advised to monitor weather conditions and bring their grain to the centers accordingly. Paddy with 17 percent moisture content should be purchased immediately and transported to the mills using trucks. Rao was accompanied by Tehsildars and other officials during his visit.
